The ecological projects were among the 15 federal government’s ecological intervention projects for the 4th quarter of 2016 and the contracts were awarded by the Federal Executive Council (FEC) in March 2017 and executed by the Ecological Fund Office, Abuja.

Initiated through a request for an urgent intervention from Mubi Emirate Council, the projects were forwarded to Ecological Office to arrest continuing flooding  and erosion menace in Mubi North, Mubi South and Maiha local government areas to avert loss of lives and properties.

The Permamnet Secretary, Ecological Fund Office, Abuja, Dr Habibu Lawal, said at the event,

“The resources which the federal government has committed for  the projects must not be allowed to waste.”

The TV substation project, co-sponsored by Hon Jafa’aru Magaji, which was started during President Olusegun Obasanjo regime, suffered neglect by successive administrations.

The station, Magaji noted, is symbolic and historic to leveraging information and communication to neutralize fake news emanating from social media and give access to citizens to say their minds to their leaders.

The Executive Director, Engineering of the NTA, Engr Stephen Moses who represented the NTA DG, praised Hon Magaji for making the project a reality.
