A Spanish royal expert is claiming that Princess Charlene of Monaco is hiding away from the public because she was “disfigured after plastic surgery”.
Is Princess Charlene in hiding due to botched plastic surgery?
After a prolonged stay in South Africa, and shortly after Princess Charlene’s arrival in Monaco, Prince Albert confirmed that his wife went to a treatment facility due to “severe fatigue”.
Princess Charlene was in South Africa for most of 2021 as she reportedly suffered from an ear, nose and throat infection.
While this did nothing but fuel speculations that all is not well between the princess and her husband, who has been accused of infidelity and fathering another child, Pilar Eyre from Lecturas magazine, is now claiming that the mother-of-two was left scarred during a facelift in Dubai.
Eyre also noted that it was strange that Charlene wore a face-covering following her return to Monaco.
Prince Albert sets the record straight
In an exclusive interview, Monaco’s sovereign prince told People that the 43-year-old princess is suffering profound “exhaustion, both emotional and physical.”
“Because I know there are rumours out there, let me say: This is not COVID,” Albert continued. “And it’s not cancer-related. It’s not a personal relationship issue. And if you want to discuss another speculation, it isn’t related to plastic surgery or facial work at all.”
He said that her recovery due to “severe fatigue” will require clinical care lasting several weeks at a minimum.
The prince also said that her treatment has nothing to do with their relationship.
“I’m probably going to say this several times, but this has nothing to do with our relationship. I want to make that very clear. These are not problems within our relationship; not with the relationship between a husband and wife. It’s of a different nature.”
Princess Charlene’s current state
Her current state, he says, is the result “of several factors which are private matters.”
He added that she was clearly exhausted when she returned.
“Obviously there were consequences of her different surgeries and the procedures she underwent in the last few months,” Albert said. “That certainly was a factor, but at this point, I prefer not to comment further.
“I can say she was suffering incredible fatigue. She hadn’t slept well in a number of days and she wasn’t eating at all well. She has lost a lot of weight, which made her vulnerable to other potential ailments. A cold or the flu or God help us, COVID.”
