Bobi Wine’s Bodyguard Ariho Arrested

Security operatives from Police and the Joint Task force have arrested Nobert Ariho, one of Robert Kyagulanyi’s private body guards.

Ariho was picked up today from Kyagulanyi’s campaign trail in Bududa, Eastern Uganda.

His arrest, according to security, is in connection to the ongoing investigations into an explosion that went off at Kayunga where Kyagulanyi had gone for his presidential campaigns.

Ariho is said to have been filmed launching a teargas canister in a crowd while Bobi Wine was campaigning on December 1, 2020.

Following that incident, police said that they had taken interest in the manner in which a teargas canister was detonated by a civilian near Kyagulanyi during a stand off with security operators.

“We are looking for Nobert Ariho, he will have to explain to us under which circumstances he got this canister,” said spokesperson Fred Enanga.

In this explosion, two people including Bobi Wine’s close associate Erwyot Daniel alias Dan Magic and a police guard were injured.
