Angola coach Pedro Goncalves has admitted that the Black Stars have a plethora of stars which makes their clash in the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifiers difficult.The Palacas Negras will be hosted by Ghana at the Baba Yara Stadium in Kumasi on Thursday, September 5, 2024, in their first game of the qualification series.”Black Stars have players from the top level in the world, but the big names are in the midfield and forward centers, players like Mohammed Kudus is one of the best players at the moment for Africa, Jordan Ayew, Thomas Partey the legend, Inaki Williams, I say four players but I can say more. It’s a balanced team at the high level but for sure names are in the attack.”The away side arrived and trained at the Baba Yara Stadium on Wednesday and are aiming to stun Ghana having last lost at the same venue last year during the 2023 AFCON qualifiers thanks to a late strike from Antoine Semenyo.According to Goncalves, Ghana were fortunate to capitalise on a set piece to clinch the win which he believes will not repeat itself.”The last time was tough for us because we lost in the last play of the game on a set piece, a lot of luck for Ghana to finish on goal.””Tomorrow is a different story and moment, I think both national teams are better now, we grow a lot, by the moment we feel we have confidence not just for tomorrow but for the future,” he added.Meanwhile, Sudan have already taken the lead in Group F after clinching a 1-0 victory over Niger.
