Ghana’s U-20 women’s national team coach, Yussif Basigi, has made a surprising decision by replacing his first-choice goalkeeper, Afi Amenyeku, ahead of their final Group E match at the ongoing FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup in Colombia.Jenna Kayla Sarpong, the Ausburn Soccer Club goalkeeper, will start in place of Amenyeku as the Black Princesses face New Zealand in a must-win encounter. This will be Sarpongs first appearance in the tournament.The Black Princesses will also be without defender Hannah Nyame, who is sidelined with an injury. She will be replaced by Sarah Kulible in the defensive lineup, joining Comfort Yeboah, Alexandra Tay, and Jennifer Dawah.In midfield, Captain Stella Nyamkye will lead the team alongside Wasiima Mohammed, Helen Alormenu, and Beline Nyarkoh. Up front, Salamatu Abdullai returns to spearhead the attack.The match, which will kick off at 23:00 GMT at the Pascual Guerrero Stadium in Cali, is a must-win for Ghana as they seek to progress beyond the group stage for the first time in the history of the competition, having been eliminated at this stage in their previous six attempts.
