Matchday eight of the Bundesliga offered some great posters and Bayern Munich were put in trouble by an attractive side from Werder Bremen. Florian Kohfeldt’s players delivered a big performance and opened the scoring just before the break thanks to Maximilian Eggestein (45th). In the second half, Bayern Munich raised their level in a completely disjointed match and Kingsley Coman managed to equalize (62nd). Both teams went from goal to goal, but that was not enough. Werder Bremen draw a 1-1 draw. In the standings Bayern Munich remains leader.
Bayer Leverkusen thought they were doing the hard part by opening the scoring thanks to Leon Bailey (27th) against Arminia Bieleld, but a ball from Lukas Hradecky allowed the promoted to equalize (47th). Ultimately, it was the Austrian Aleksandar Dragovic who snatched the victory late in the match for Bayer (88th). In the standings, Leverkusen moved up to second place one point behind Bayern Munich. Borussia Mönchengladbach missed out on Augsburg. Long in the lead thanks to a goal from Florian Neuhaus, the Fohlen were joined on a goal from Daniel Caligiuri (88th). Final score 1-1 between the two teams. In a very lively match, TSG Hoffenheim was hooked in the last moments by VfB Stuttgart (3-3). Finally Wolfsburg won 2-0 against Schalke 04 and moved up to fifth place. The Knappens remain penultimate with still no victory since the start of the season.
