Beating RAILA was easy for me but MUDAVADI and WETANGULA made it much easier – I will defeat BABA very early in the morning!

Tuesday, February 15, 2022 – Deputy President William Ruto has exuded confidence that the Kenya Kwanza Alliance will trounce ODM leader Raila Odinga early in the morning, in the August 9, presidential election.

Speaking in Kakamega County during the Kenya Kwanza campaign trail over the weekend, DP Ruto said that the move by ANC leader and his Ford Kenya counterpart to join him has made the August presidential election much easier.

Ruto noted that in the 2017 elections, he and President Uhuru Kenyatta won without the support of the key Western leaders who have now backed his quest for the presidency.

“Sisi tulishinda mzee wa kitendawili akiwa bado na jeshi kubwa.

“Sahii Musalia, Wetang’ula, and Kalonzo wamehama; si tutamshinda asubuhi ama namna gani? (We defeated the riddle man (Raila Odinga) when he had many soldiers. Now Musalia, Wetang’ula, and Kalonzo have deserted him; shall we not defeat him early in the morning?),” Ruto posed.

The confidence by DP Ruto comes after ANC leader Musalia Mudavadi and his Ford Kenya counterpart, Moses Wetang’ula, joined him to form a strong team ahead of the August 9 election.

This is even as Murang’a Woman Representative Sabina Chege, in her own admission, claimed that they will rig in Raila Odinga in August the way they rigged in President Uhuru Kenyatta in 2017.

However, Ruto has dismissed Chege’s version, saying no election was rigged in 2017 and will not be rigged out in August.

He accused the Azimio la Umoja Movement of fueling unnecessary tension in the country with claims of 2017 rigging allegations.
