Basake Holy Stars coach Abdulai Gazale has admitted that the upcoming 2024/25 Ghana Premier League season will present significant challenges for the newly promoted club.The Ellembelle-based team secured promotion for the first time after emerging as champions of the Division One League Zone Two.Basake Holy Stars will make their debut in the Ghana Premier League when they face Hearts of Oak on Sunday at the Accra Sports Stadium in the opening match of the season.Following a friendly match against Medeama SC, Gazale reflected on the teams preparations and the hurdles they must overcome.”So far, so good because we have new players, like you said. I’m also a new guy, but we are trying to put ourselves together to get a team that can represent the club very well,” Gazale stated.He emphasised the need for the squad to gel quickly, saying, I think we have those who can do the work. We just need to push them so much so that we can get ourselves ready for it.This is their first time playing in the Premier League, and I know it will not be easy, but we will make our way through.As the team prepares for their historic debut, Gazale will focus on instilling confidence and resilience in his players to navigate the challenges of the Ghana Premier League.
