One of the most famous men to ever dawn the Bafana Bafana jersey – a national legend who played in the 2010 FIFA World Cup – has just joined SAFA.

He is now the newest member of SAFA and is aiming at getting more local players to play abroad in the world’s biggest leagues.
Aaron Mokoena has just joined SAFA. He brings massive experience locally and internationally to the table.
Mokoena was captain of the national side and played in several of the top leagues in the world.
He wants to play his role in developing SA football and bringing current and future talent to Europe in leagues like the English Premier League and La Liga.

Mokoena played for EPL sides Blackburn Rovers and Portsmouth.
Joining the likes of Benni McCarthy, Bongani Khumalo, and Steven Pienaar as SA players having played in the EPL. He is also Bafana’s most-capped player of all time with a record 107 national caps.
