Baba Rahman sad things didn’t go as planned at Chelsea

Former Chelsea left-back Abdul Baba Rahman has shared his disappointment over his injury-riddled spell at Stamford Bridge, where his career never took off as planned.Rahman joined Chelsea from Augsburg in 2015, but recurring injuries and limited playing time derailed his progress.Over his brief stint with the Blues, the Ghanaian defender made just 23 appearances and scored two goals before going on several loan spells, eventually settling with Greek side PAOK FC.”I am sad things didn’t work out at Chelsea. I just had so many bad injuries whilst I was there, and because I wasn’t 100% fit, I wasn’t able to give my absolute best,” Rahman told the BBC.He also revealed how close he came to retiring after a second ACL injury, crediting Chelseas former medical director Dr. Paco Biosca for urging him to keep going. Now with PAOK, Rahman is embracing his second chance in football, grateful for the support that helped him persevere.
