Asante Kotoko to appoint assistant technical director – Kwesi Appiah confirms
Head of Sporting Affairs of Asante Kotoko, Kwesi Appiah has revealed that the club will appoint an assistant technical director soon.Appiah recently left his role as the technical director of the club. However, the Porcupine Warriors have named club legend and former coach, Malik Jabir as the new technical director of the club.Explaining the decision behind the recent changes at the club, the Ghana Football Association (GFA) Executive Council member praised Jabir and hinted an assistant will be named soon.”He [Malik Jabir] is a former player and he is willing to do that work. He is willing to travel with the team and for the games that he cannot travel with the team, his assistant will join the team and assist Prosper Nartey Ogum,” Appiah told Asempa FM.Meanwhile, Prosper Narteh Ogum, who was a member of the Interim Management Committee (IMC) has been relieved off as he focuses on his duty as the head coach of the club.With the 2024/25 Ghana Premier League season set to resume this weekend after a week break, Asante Kotoko will clash with their rivals, Hearts of Oak at the Baba Yara Stadium on Sunday in the Matchday 13 games.Kick-off is scheduled at 15:00 GMT.
