Asante Kotoko coach Prosper Narteh Ogum has provided an injury update on forward Albert Amoah.The former Great Olympics attacker picked up an injury when the Porcupine Warriors succumbed to a 1-0 defeat to Heart of Lions on Sunday.The loss, which occurred during the matchday nine fixture of the Ghana Premier League at Obuasi, marks Kotoko’s second consecutive defeat and ends their unbeaten home record.Kwadwo Obeng Jnrs strike was enough for the visitors to amass maximum points in the thrilling encounter.Speaking after the game, Ogum confirmed Amoah picked up a serious injury while expressing confidence in the medical team to get him fit on time.He had a kick direct at the side of the knee, its swollen and very painful. He could not walk and had to be helped to get on board the bus. It looks serious but I think we have a competent medical staff that would be able to address it he said.Amoah has been the main man for Asante Kotoko this season, scoring five goals from eight games so far.Following this defeat, Asante Kotoko has dropped to third place in the league standings with 15 points. The team will aim to bounce back in their next match against Bechem United as they look to regain their form in the league.
