The
Gunners of English Premier League have been chasing for the signature of the
Ghanaian midfielder for almost three seasons and were burnt on getting him this
time round.

The move became more essential after Arsenal allowed Uruguayan midfielder Lucas Torreira to move unto to Atletico on a season’s loan.  They also allowed Matteo Guendouzi to Hertha Berlin for another loan.

Partey rejected contract extension from Atletico even when the Spanish side decided to triple his salary. This is as a result of the fact that he felt not valued in the team and the latest effort from Arsenal motivated him to accept the deal and move to England.

The flamboyant midfielder spent ten years at the Spanish
capital but he left for Real Mallorca on a three season loan deal before cementing
his place in Diego Simeone’s team in 2015/16 season.

The Deputy Captain for Ghana’s Black Star’s is due to join
the National team for two friendly matches against Mali and Qatar respectively
as FIFA’s international football resumes.
