APC Youths condemn Zamfara Gov’s actions against Matawalle

The All Progressives Congress (APC) Youth Wing Mobilisation Vanguard has strongly condemned Zamfara State Governor Dauda Lawal’s recent actions against the Minister of State Defense, Alhaji Bello Mohammed Matawalle.
The group’s Chairman, Alhaji Ashiru Tukur-Sadauki, on Friday, accused Governor Lawal of orchestrating a witch-hunt against Minister Matawalle, aimed at undermining the federal government’s efforts in combating insecurity in the North-West.
The group criticised “Governor Lawal’s media tour, where he allegedly spread propaganda against Minister Matawalle, compromising the morale of troops engaged in Operation Fansan Yamma.”
”It is very disheartening to see a chief security of the state descending so low on bringing up issues already overtaken by events in order to seek cheap publicity.
”So, Mr. Governor’s call on Minister Matawalle to resign is laughable”.
“Governor Lawal’s actions are not only immature, but also sabotaging the good efforts of President Bola Tinubu’s administration in eradicating banditry and terrorism in the region,” Tukur-Sadauki stated.
“We urge Minister Matawalle not to join issues with Governor Lawal, focusing instead on the successful operations against bandits,” Tukur-Sadauki added.
The group’s statement came amidst growing concerns over Governor Lawal’s intentions, with many accusing him of prioritising politics over security.
“The development has sparked widespread reactions, with many Nigerians calling for Governor Lawal to prioritise the safety and well-being of Zamfara State citizens.”
