(Photo by Dan Mullan/Getty Images)Ghana coach Otto Addo remains positive despite acknowledging the challenges ahead of Thursday’s 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Angola.Addo is confident the Black Stars can secure a win at the Baba Yara Stadium in Kumasi, even though Angola poses a significant threat.The Palancas Negras impressed earlier this year by reaching the quarter-finals of AFCON 2023, while Ghana suffered a disappointing group stage exit.”They have a lot of good players, so it wont be easy for us, but we have good players as well, and I am convinced that we can beat them, even though it wont be easy,” Addo said during a press conference.Preparations have been somewhat disrupted, with Leicester City forward Jordan Ayew only arriving in camp on Wednesday afternoon, just hours before the match.Additionally, injuries have sidelined Elisha Owusu, left-back Gideon Mensah, and centre-back Alexander Djiku.”We have had some injuries, but the squad is ready. We have a lot of players who can match up. I wish the injured players a speedy recovery,” Addo added.Following the Angola match, Ghana will travel to Morocco to face Niger on Monday.
