Alleged Lagbaja’s death is fake news — Army HQ

The Nigerian Army official X handle, @HQNigerian Army, has said that speculations insinuating that the Chief of Army Staff, Lt. General Taoreed Lagbaja, was dead, are fake news.
Recall that a report from an online platform which trended, yesterday said, “Chief of Army Staff dies of cancer.”
But describing the report as fake, the army said: “Please, disregard the rumours circulating about the death of the Chief of Army Staff, Lt. Gen. Taoreed Lagbaja.
“The false reports purported by unverifiable sources are baseless and misleading.
“The public are advised to rely on credible sources for information and disregard such misinformation from unreliable sources.”
