AFCON 2025 qualifiers: Black Stars conclude training ahead of Angola showdown

The Black Stars of Ghana wrapped up their final training session on Wednesday, September 4, ahead of their crucial 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifier against Angola.After opening camp in Accra and holding their initial session at the Accra Sports Stadium, the team moved to Kumasi, where they had two training sessions at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium, including Wednesday’s last preparations.Head coach Otto Addo put the squad through their paces, fine-tuning tactics for tomorrows showdown.All 23 players are reportedly in good shape, with the exception of midfielder Elisha Owusu, who remains a doubt for the game. His fitness will be assessed on the morning of the match.The Black Stars will host Angola on Thursday, with the match set to kick off at 4:00 PM local time at the Baba Yara Stadium, as both teams vie for qualification in the 2025 AFCON tournament.Ghana will later travel to Morocco to face Niger in their next game as they aim to qualify for the 25th time.
