Black Galaxies head coach, Mas-Ud Didi Dramani, believes his team can enhance the reputation of the Ghana Premier League with a strong performance against Nigeria.The locally assembled squad will face Nigeria in a crucial playoff for a spot in the 2024 African Nations Championship (CHAN).The Ghana Premier League has faced challenges in attracting large audiences and securing a major sponsor. However, Dramani is confident that a standout display from his players could help boost the leagues standing.’This match represents more than qualification; it is about the pride of Ghana,” he told CAFOnline.”I tell the players they are ambassadors of the local league and its potential. Their performance will inspire young talents and elevate the league’s reputation,” he added.Ghana will host Nigeria in the first leg of the playoffs on Sunday, December 22, at the Accra Sports Stadium, with kick-off at 15:00 GMT.The return leg will take place at the Godswill Akpabio Stadium in Nigeria on Saturday, December 28.This marks the second consecutive year the Black Galaxies are facing Nigeria in a CHAN playoff. Two years ago, Ghana triumphed over Nigeria in a penalty shootout to secure their place in the previous edition of the tournament, where they were eliminated in the quarterfinals.The 2024 CHAN will be jointly hosted by Kenya, Uganda, and Tanzania.
