Ghanaian forward David Atanga scores in Wolfsberger remarkable comeback victory

Ghanaian forward David Atanga was on the scoresheet for Wolfsberger AC in their remarkable comeback victory Austrian Bundesliga on Saturday.Atanga climbed off the bench to be among the scorers as Wolfsberger came from a three-goal deficit to beat Grazer AK 4-3 at the Merkur-Arena.Daniel Marderner opened the scoring of the match as early as the 8th minute to put Grazer ahead.The lead was extended three minutes later when Maderner assisted Slovenian midfielder Tio Cipot before Marco Gantschnig made it 3-0 before the half-time break.Atanga was introduced in the game in the 64th minute after replacing Dejan Zukic. He scored in the 80th minute from a spot kick to pull one back for Wolfsberger.Austrian forward Angelo Gattermayer scored three minutes later to reduce the deficit before Michael Lang’s own goal pulled parity for the visitors two minutes into additional time.Gattermayer scored deep in stoppage-time to seal the comeback win for Wolfsberger after he was set up by the defender Nicolas Wimmer.Former WAFA SC player Emmanuel Agyeman was brought on at the start of the second half in place of Thierno Ballo.Atanga has three goals, and one assists in 11 appearances for Wolfsberger across all competitions this season.
