Osei-Fosu, who works closely with him, praised his leadership, saying, “Kwesi Appiah is the best Ghanaian coach in the last 10 years.”Sudan secured their qualification with four points from Ghana in the qualifiers, including a crucial 2-0 victory in Libya. However, the win against Ghana was bittersweet for both Appiah and Osei-Fosu. I was sad, likewise Kwesi Appiah, after we won in Libya against Ghana. I walked straight to the dressing room and couldnt utter a word, Osei-Fosu admitted.Appiah, who took over as Sudans coach in September 2023, has revitalized the team, and Sudan now leads their group in the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers, ahead of favorites like Senegal.
