2024/25 Ghana Premier League: Week 12 Match Preview- Bechem United vs Accra Lions
In-form Bechem United will host strugglers Accra Lions on matchday 12 of the Ghana Premier League on Sunday, November 24, 2024, at the Nana Fosu Gyeabour Park.The Hunters will be hoping to extend their winning run to three matches when they welcome Lions, who are yet to win a game since day three of the 2024/25 campaign.Bechem United heads into the match after morale-boosting victories of Asante Kotoko and Berekum Chelsea.Meanwhile, Accra Lions have drawn six matches including last week’s home game against Heart of Lions. They have also lost four and won only one match, the team with the lowest win rate this campaign.However, they travel to Bechem with the edge over their rivals following their record against the former FA Cup winners.In six matches between the two sides, Accra Lions have won three and drawn one, with the two ending in victories for Bechem. Last season, Accra Lions picked a point in Bechem before winning 3-0 in Accra.Both teams have lost some very good players in the transfer window, with Bechem United transferring winger Clinton Duodo and Samuel Kuffuor while Lions’ Daniel Awuni, David Ouduro and Mohammed Yahaya all left to continue their careers abroad.Bechem United will rely on the experience of legend Augustine Okrah, who rejoined the club after a spell with Yanga in Tanzania.Ali Mohammed, Musa Hamzata, Remember Boateng and Baba Apiiga remain the most experienced players in the Accra Lions set up.
