Mohamud, who currently serves as the Commission’s Deputy CEO and previously held the position of Director of Investigations, is set to succeed the outgoing CEO, Twalib Mbarak.

“The Commission invited applicants for the position of Secretary/Chief Executive Officer through advertisement published in the EACC website and the print media on Tuesday, September 17, 2024 pursuant to Article 250 (12) of the Constitution of Kenya and Section 16 of the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission Act No. 22 of 2011,” said Oginde.
Oginde further disclosed that by the application deadline of October 7, the Commission had received 172 applications from which 14 candidates were shortlisted and interviews conducted between November 19 and 21.
