PIRATES STRIKER LINKED WITH PORTUGUESE OUTFIT

Pirates superstar, Maswanganyi has no doubt taken the SA football community by storm.

Moreover, from his brilliant PSL form to his exciting Bafana Bafana stint, Maswanganyi has everyone talking. He has scored two goals in two matches for the national side.

Now, his former side, UD Oliveirense, want to re-sign him.

“Actually he was supposed to go back to Portugal after his stay at SuperSport United but instead he was signed by Orlando Pirates. Now, Oliveirense are once again interested in him. They were just giving him a chance to come back and grow as a person but things took a different turn. Since joining Pirates, they have been following his progress hence the inquiry on him now. They want him back,” the insider stated on SNL.

Meaning, Oliveirense are going to attempt to lure the Bucs striker back to Portugal in the up-and-coming January transfer window.

BUCS FOCUSED ON BETWAY PREMIERSHIP, CAF RETURN

With the international break over, Jose Riveiro and the Bucs will be focused on the Betway Premiership and their return to the CAF Champions League.

So, Pirates currently sit top of the Betway Premiership with 21 points after seven wins from seven matches. Meanwhile, rivals Mamelodi Sundowns are breathing down their neck as they trail by just three points (18).

Furthermore, Pirates return to the CAFCL and they will want to represent South Africa on the continental stage with the highest honour.
