2025 AFCON Qualifiers: Black Stars touch down in Accra after Angola draw
Ghanas senior mens national team, the Black Stars, touched down in Accra on Saturday following their 1-1 draw against Angola on Friday night in their penultimate 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier.Otto Addos team will now regroup for Mondays final qualifier against Niger, after the draw at the 11th November Stadium confirmed that Ghana will not qualify for the AFCON in Morocco.To qualify, the Black Stars needed a win against Angola and also required a victory in their final game against Niger at the Accra Sports Stadium, following a shock 4-0 win for Niger over Sudan that handed them a lifeline.With no chance of qualifying now, the match against Niger holds no significance for Ghana.Ghana currently sits bottom of Group F with three points, ten behind Angola, five adrift of Sudan, and one below Niger in third.This marks the first time in 21 years that Ghana will miss the Africa Cup of Nations.
