2025 AFCON Qualifiers: Agyemang-Badu advises Jordan Ayew ahead of Ghana’s final round of games
Jordan AyewFormer Ghana midfielder,Emmanuel Agyemang Badu has advised the newly-appointed captain of theBlack Stars, Jordan Ayew ahead of their final round ofgames of the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifiers.The Leicester City forward has been named as the skipper for the games against Angola and Niger in the absence of Thomas Partey.Reacting to Ayew’s appointment,the U-20 WorldCupwinner and former Black Stars midfielder urged him to visit the players in their rooms and talk to them to understand the terrain of playing for the senior national team.Jordan Ayew is the senior most player in the team for now. I will urge him to talk to the guys and visit them in their rooms. I did the same with his brother at the U-20 level, like what Asamoah Gyan and the likes ofStephenAppiah were doing,” he told Ahotor FM.”Talk to them because they dont know the terrain, the socialization and the culture. Tell them that this is a demanding and football nation. Our supporters demand a lot.Jordan has been in thenational teamfor more than 12 to 13 years and he knows the ins and outs and the odds.
