Vuyokazi Nciweni responds to fiancé’s disturbing lobola claims
Vuyokazi Nciweni has issued a statement in response to accusations that she coerced her fiancé, Xolani Sabelo, into paying lobola for her.
VUYOKAZI’S FIANCÉ MAKES SHOCKING CLAIMS AGAINST HER
Nciweni ended her relationship with businessman and reality TV star Mpumelelo Mseleku a few months ago and got engaged to chef Xolani Sabelo in August.
Her engagement had tongues wagging, with many praising her decision to leave Mpumelelo, with whom she was about to enter into a polygamous marriage.
Now, she is grabbing headlines again for reportedly forcing her fiancé to pay lobola for her. Her fiancé disclosed this in a shocking recording that has gone viral on social media. In the recording, Xolani tells his baby mama that he was pressured into paying lobola for Vuyokazi.
He states he is not ready to have another child, and Vuyokazi’s family will not pressure him to complete the lobola.
He further mentions that he would place Vuyokazi on a test to measure her love for him. If she is committed to building a future together, he would ask her to contribute financially for her child, as he is currently facing financial difficulties and his card has been blocked.
VUYOKAZI FINALLY BREAKS HER SILENCE
After listening to the recording, Vuyokazi responded on Instagram. In her statement, she mentioned that she has always wanted to maintain a private life, but her personal affairs have become public.
“I am a woman who has always sought to live my life with authenticity and privacy, yet I continually find my personal life in the public domain, especially regarding my relationship.”
She said that the accusations deeply hurt her
“I recently learned about troubling accusations and statements circulating in voice notes from my fiancé suggesting I had somehow forced him into paying lobola. These accusations have brought to light a side of him that I was previously unaware of or perhaps chose not to see. I am devastated by the things said, and I am struggling to process the emotional impact of this,” she said.
