Kotoko deputy skipper Justice Blay calls for patience, support after two consecutive defeats
Asante Kotoko’s deputy captain, Justice Blay, has called on fans to remain patient and steadfast in their support for the team after suffering two consecutive defeats in the Ghana Premier League. The versatile midfielder took to the field on Sunday as the Porcupine Warriors faced a narrow 1-0 loss to Heart of Lions, following a disappointing 2-1 defeat to Legon Cities FC earlier in the week.In a reflective post-match interview, Blay acknowledged the disappointment felt by fans and accepted the responsibility of the players for the recent setbacks. We know there are no easy games once you play for Kotoko, and that’s the reason we should be ready for each game. The supporters did their bit, but unfortunately, we failed on our part. We obviously can’t hide from that,” Justice Blay told the media team of Asante Kotoko.Despite the challenges, Blay emphasised the importance of unity and patience as the team looks to rebound from these losses. This defeat is on us, and we take full responsibility for our inability to give it the best reaction. But it’s time to stay patient and support each other in the remaining games, he urged. With the recent losses weighing heavily on the team’s morale, Kotoko is determined to bounce back. The squad is gearing up for a crucial Week 10 clash against Bechem United next weekend, where they will be eager to secure a much-needed victory and restore confidence among players and supporters alike.
