CAF Champions League: Samatex begin preparations in Morocco for Raja Casablanca showdown

Ghana Premier League champions FC Samartex have ramped up preparations in Morocco ahead of their decisive second-leg encounter against Raja Casablanca in the CAF Champions League.Following an intense 2-2 draw in the first leg at the Accra Sports Stadium, the Timber Giants are focused on pulling off an upset against the former champions in the return fixture.In the first leg, Raja took an early lead through Mohamed Azridas header from a corner in the 20th minute.Samatex fought back, with Francis Gyetuah scoring a stunning acrobatic equalizer in the 37th minute. Striker Michael Ephson then gave the Ghanaian side a 2-1 advantage just before halftime, capitalizing on a fumble by Rajas goalkeeper after a long-range effort from Isaac Afful.However, Raja Casablanca equalized early in the second half when Mohamed Boulacsout finished off a well-crafted team move.Club President, Dr. Richard Duah Nsenkyire, along with other members of the management team, oversaw the teams first training session in Morocco to ensure preparations went smoothly.The team arrived on Thursday and is gearing up for the crucial second leg, which will take place at the Stade Mohamed V at 19:00 GMT.
