MK Party mourns death of six members killed in fiery crash
UMkhonto weSizwe (MK) Party has sent condolences to the families of its members who died in an accident on R74 in KwaZulu-Natal on Saturday morning.
A taxi the members were traveling in rolled over and burnt while they were trapped inside, ten others were injured and rushed to hospital for medical attention. The members were travelling to Nkandla for a celebratory event.
SIX MK PARTY MEMBERS KILLED IN AN ACCIDENT
MK Party spokesperson Nhlamulo Ndhlela said while they can never fully dissect the anatomy of the pain caused by such grief, they send their deepest and most heartfelt condolences to their next of kin.
Ndhlela also assured that they will support the families of the deceased members during these trying times.
“As uMkhonto weSizwe Party we salute their bravery and we shall pick up the spear and continue the battle. May their revolutionary souls find solace and rest in peace, as we wish a speedy recovery to our injured comrades,” Ndhlela said.
CONDOLENCES POUR IN
The Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) is among political parties that have expressed sadness following the accident involving MK Party members.
The party in KwaZulu-Natal said the loss of life in such sudden and tragic circumstances is deeply painful.
“Our thoughts and prayers are with the bereaved families, friends and the entire MK Party community during this difficult time.
“We urge the authorities to conduct a thorough investigation into the cause of this accident and ensure that appropriate measures are taken to prevent such tragedies in the future,” the EFF said.
