9,694 Community Police constables to be deployed

Pioneer set of 9,694 have graduated as special constables for the community policing programme, the Ministry of Police Affairs, said at the weekend.

They graduated from 13 training centres across the country, according to a statement by ministry spokesman Odutayo Oluseyi.

The minister said he was delighted by the efforts of President Muhamadu Buhari to take policing closer to the people.
