2026 U-20 Women’s World Cup qualifiers: Ghana draws first round bye, set to face Togo or Tunisia in second round

Ghana’s U-20 women’s team, known as the Black Princesses, have found out their path to the 2026 FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup, set to take place in Poland.The team is aiming for their eighth consecutive appearance at this prestigious tournament.Having received a bye in the first round of qualifiers, the Black Princesses will begin their campaign in the second round, where they will face the winner of the match between Togo and Tunisia.If they successfully navigate this challenge, they will meet either Eswatini or South Africa in the third round of qualifiers. Securing victories in their first two matches will ensure Ghana’s progression to the final round of qualifiers.The qualification process will kick off in May 2025, but the Black Princesses will not start their own campaign until September.The team last participated in the 2024 World Cup held in Colombia, where they were unable to advance beyond the group stage.
