2025 AFCON Qualifiers: I hate to lose – Ghana coach Otto Addo cautions ahead of Sudan clash

Ghana coach, Otto Addo has expressed his desire to win games after a tough start to the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifiers.The Black Stars, who are chasing their fifth continental showpiece kicked off their qualifying games with a disappointing 1-0 defeat against Angola at the Baba Yara Stadium.The team were, however, held to a 1-1 draw against Niger in their second Group F game in Berkane.However, speaking at the squad unveiling on Friday, October 4 ahead of the doubleheader against Sudan, the 45-year-old expressed his frustrations after failing to pick all six points against the Palancras Negras and the Super Eagles.”I hate to lose games,” Addo said. “I was aiming that we start our qualifiers on a good note but we could not and I was disappointed,” he added.Meanwhile, Otto Addo has announced a 25-man squad for the games against the Falcons.The Black Stars, who sit 3rd in Group F will commence training on Monday in Accra, gearing up for their first leg match, set for October 10 at the Accra Sports Stadium, followed by the return match in Benina, Libya, on October 15.
