2025 AFCON Qualifiers: Ghana coach Otto Addo urges players to step up ahead of Sudan game on Tuesday

Otto AddoThe head coach of the Black Stars of Ghana, Otto Addo has charged his players to step up their performance in the game against Sudan.Ghana will lock horns with Sudan on Tuesday, October 15, in the qualifiers for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) tournament.Speaking in a pre-match interview, Coach Otto Addo praised his players for showing passion in the first meeting with Sudan last Thursday.He stressed that it is important for players to step up to secure victory in the second meeting tomorrow.Like I said before, everything is there. The passion, the way we played, we created a lot of chances. We had a lot of corners and the players have to reward themselves for their performance and the hard work they’re showing.It’s needed now. Like I said, everybody needs to step up. All the players need to push each other and those who are starting, those who are not starting. We need to believe in ourselves, push ourselves and trust ourselves and make each of us stronger. Then I think the goals will come by themselves, Coach Otto Addo said.The Black Stars will take on Sudan in Libya on Tuesday, with the match set to kick off at 13:00 GMT. As pressure mounts, all eyes will be on Addos men to secure the much-needed three points and keep their AFCON dream alive.
