2025 AFCON Qualifiers: Ghana coach Otto Addo not giving up despite major setback after Sudan games

Following a 0-0 draw and a 2-0 defeat in the first and second meetings respectively, Ghanas qualification hopes hang in the balance, but Otto Addo remains determined to keep the dream alive.Speaking to the Ghana FA media team after the matches, the coach reflected on the teams performance and emphasised that their campaign is far from over.”It’s not over yet. Mathematically, there’s still a chance, and we will do everything in our hands to keep this chance alive,” he said.The Ghana coach took a broader view of the team’s journey in the qualifiers, touching on the importance of winning home games and maintaining discipline on both defense and offense.When I reflect, its not just about this game, but also our general approach. You have to win your home games. The passion and discipline, both defensively and offensively, were there, but we just didnt execute, he explained.Despite the setbacks, Coach Otto Addo expressed confidence that Ghana deserved better results, particularly in their matches against Angola and Sudan.We surely deserved to win against Angola, and also the last one against Sudan,” he noted, adding that the tactical approach played a role in the outcomes.Ghanas 2025 AFCON qualification campaign is now at a critical juncture, but Otto Otto Addo and his squad remain focused on turning things around.The Black Stars are currently third in Group F with just two points, five behind Sudan in second, and seven behind Angola occupying the top spot.
