2025 AFCON Qualifiers: Feyenoord forward Ibrahim Osman withdraws from Ghana squad to face Angola and Niger
Feyenoord forward Ibrahim Osman has withdrawn from Ghanas squad ahead of the crucial games against Angola and Niger.The on-loan Brighton and Hove Albion winger will not participate as the Black Stars wrap up the AFCON qualifiers this week.Osman is missing the upcoming games after picking up a hamstring injury at club level. He was not in action at the weekend when Feyenoord thrashed Almere City 4-1 in the Eredivisie.The former Nordjaelland star joins Alexander Djiku, Tariq Lamptey, Antoine Semenyo, Jerome Opoku, Jonas Adjetey, and Inaki Williams as players to have pulled out of the squad due to various reasons.He picked up a hamstring injury in his last outing for his club which got him substituted at halftime a statement from the Ghana FA reads.Ghana will travel to face the Palancas Negras in Luanda on November 15 before playing host to Niger at the Accra Sports Stadium on November 18, 2024.The West African powerhouse commences preparation for the upcoming on Monday evening.Meanwhile, the Black Stars are on the verge on missing out on the AFCON for the first time in 20-years following the teams unimpressive performance in the qualifying series.Ghana has endured a torrid AFCON qualifications, losing two and drawing two games after four matches.
