Black Princesses celebrate win over New Zealand at 2024 FIFA U20 Women’s World Cup.Ghana exited the 2024 FIFA U20 Womens World Cup on Sunday, 8 September 2024, despite beating New Zealand 3-1 in their final Group E match.A Salamatu Abdulai brace ensured the Black Princesses downed the Junior Football Ferns in dead-rubber match.Her opener was just before the hour mark to give Ghana the lead as she tucked home from close range.But the New Zealanders were level five minutes through Emma Pijnenburg.Ghana restored their lead on 72 minutes after captain Stella Nyamekyes cross was met by Abdulais looping header.Substitute Tracey Twum scored the third less 60 seconds after her introduction.The Black Princesses finished third in the group with three minutes and that wasnt good enough to send them to knockout stage.
