Didi DramaniGhana head coach, Mas-Ud Didi Dramani, is determined to capitalize on the advantage of playing the first leg at home and aims to defeat Nigeria in their upcoming 2024 African Nations Championship (CHAN) qualifiers.The two West African rivals will face off for a spot in next years CHAN tournament, which will be co-hosted by Kenya, Uganda, and Tanzania.The first leg of the playoffs will take place on Sunday, December 22, at the Accra Sports Stadium, with Ghana welcoming Nigeria.The return leg will follow on Saturday, December 28, at the Godswill Akpabio Stadium in Nigeria.Ahead of the crucial match, Dramani emphasized the importance of home support in securing a win.”The home advantage is crucial,” he told CAFOnline. “We want to use the energy of our fans to motivate the team.’Securing a win in the first leg sets the tone for the second leg, giving us an edge in this tight contest,” he added.The match will kick off at 15:00 GMT.This will mark the second consecutive year that Ghana’s Black Galaxies face Nigeria in the playoff round. Two years ago, Ghana triumphed over Nigeria in a penalty shootout to secure their place in the previous CHAN tournament, where they were eliminated in the quarterfinals.
