A bumper weekend of Premier League matches begins on Saturday September 14, 2024, at 15:00 GMT (3pm local time) with Medeama SC’s trip to Legon Cities FC on matchday-2 of the Ghanaian top-flight.Ahead of the weekends Premier League matches, Coaches of the various teams held their press conferences to provide injury updates and the latest news in the club ahead of matchday-2.The 2022-23 Premier League winners, Medeama SC, make the long journey to the capital to battle the Royals at the Legon Stadium to kick start the weekend round of matches.The Mauve and Yellow come into the encounter on the back of their hard fought 1-0 win over Accra Lions in the season’s opener at home last weekend, while Cities lost 2-1 at Bibiani GoldStars FC.Legon Cities have played Medeama SC four times at home in the league since 2020/21 season with Legon Cities winning one, drawing one and losing two. In the 2020/21 season, Legon Cities drew goalless to Medeama SC, won 3-1 in the 2021/22 season, lost 0-1 in the 2022/23 season and suffered a 0-2 defeat in the 2023/24 season.Legon Cities striker Dennis Adoma is expected to feature against his former club with the likes of Frank Akoto, Ishawu Alhassan, Mohammed Alidu, Ishmael Amoah, George Asamoah, Morris Fuseini, Kojo Gyesi, Nasiru Sumaila and youngster Foster Twum all available for the match.Osah Bernardinho Tetteh who scored the only goal for Medeama SC in their game against Accra Lions, will be available on Saturday. Micheal Enu, Manuel Mantey, Diawisie Taylor, Kamaradini Mamudu, Emmanuel Cudjoe, Fatawu Sulemana, Nana Kofi Babil, Kofi Asmah, Framcis Andy Kumi and Derrick Fordjour have all traveled with the team to Accra.
