2024/25 Ghana Premier League: Week 1 Match Preview- Aduana Stars vs Heart of Lions
Aduana Stars will host Kpando Hearts of Lions on matchday one of the 2024/25 Ghana Premier League season at the Nana Agyemang Badu Park on Sunday, September 8, 2024.The Ogya Boys will be hoping to continue their dominance over the Kpando-based club in the Ghanaian topflight, having won seven of their last eight meeting against Heart of Lions.Heart of Lions survived the drop last season after a final-day draw against Berekum Chelsea at the Golden City Park.Meanwhile, Aduana finished in the top half of the table and will be looking forward to reclaiming the title they have won two times.Both clubs brought in some players, with Aduana adding Seidu Saana to their team for the new season.However, Hearts of Lions went for experience, bringing former Ghana Premier League goalking Abednego Tetteh, Kwadwo Obeng Junior formerly of Hearts of Oak and Mitchelle Sarpong.Heart of Lions wrapped up preparations with a friendly win over Home Stars while Aduana defeated Wamanfo Mighty Royals in their final pre-season friendly.
