2024/25 Ghana Premier League: Week 1 Match Preview â Vision FC vs. Berekum Chelsea
Vision FC at their last training session ahead of their debut topflight game.Premier League debutants, Vision FC get the new season underway this Saturday when they welcome Berekum Chelsea to the Nii Adjei Kraku II Sports Complex for a 3pm kick-off.This will be the clubs first ever top flight match after emerging champions of Zone Three in the Division One League last season.Vision would have learnt valuable lessons from their pre-season tests against premier league sides Asante Kotoko and Heart of Lions.Head coach Nana Kweku Agyemang has bolstered his squad with new additions and has snapped up Nicholas Mensah and Elijah Addai from Legon Cities and Bofoakwa Tano respectively whose premier league experience will be handy.We are ready, and I expect my boys to go all out and win the game, Agyemang said in a preview of the game.Berekum Chelsea will also aim for a strong start to the season as owner and bankroller Amofa Jantuah targets the title this season.He has shown his intent by awarding Samuel Boadu a two-year contract extension as head coach.The Bibires have had a quiet transfer activity with Lord Amoah and Patrick Asiedu departing to Asante Kotoko.Boadu still has the majority of his squad from last term and will hope his boys can do the job as they make that trip to Tema.
