16 Years in Power, Not a Single Social Intervention Policy by the NDC –Afenyo Markin Claims

The Deputy Majority Leader in Parliament, Alexander Kwamena Afenyo-Markin speaking during an interview on Net 2’s ‘The Seat’ show has challenged the National Democratic Congress(NDC) to name one social intervention policy they have implemented in the many years they have ruled Ghana

“The NDC ruled for sixteen years but could not implement a single social intervention programme. It is the New Patriotic Party that has undertaken a series of life-changing social intervention programmes in the 12 years the party has been given the opportunity to rule,” he said.

Appearing on the show, he used the opportunity to discuss some of the events that happened during the swearing in of the 8th Parliament of The republic of Ghana.
He further explained that if the NPP had met the NDC MPs with the brute force when they went about acting lawlessly, the swearing-in of President Akufo-Addo wouldn’t have come on.
