If you want to start your own website, but not sure how to go about it, this article will teach you the five steps to get your website up and running. Having your own website is the key to your success online and the ability and knowledge to customize will help them succeed in their online efforts.

As a rookie on the web you may not have much money to get your first site in operation. The good news is that Web services are now lower than ever and you can get a site created and running for about $ 50. The monthly cost of hosting is about $ 6, add in the annual domain fee of about $ 10 and you're ready to roll. Is that cheap enough for you?

Let's start ...

Step 1: Brainstorm and write them down.

Outline of the structure of your website. Do not worry about what your site will, however, just get down the basic structure and design in general. What do you want on your web site? At a minimum, have a home page or home, page, product description, an "About Me" and especially an order page.

Once your outline is complete, you must find a way to get this information on your computer. There are plenty of resources to help with this step.

"HTML (Hyper Text Markup Language) is the programming language used for your website. You can hire a web developer for the program on your site, but can be very expensive. You can go buy a book like "HTML for Dummies" that will teach you how the code of your website, but it is a difficult and time consuming and want to do things the easy way. The easiest way is to use a program such as MS FrontPage, which is included FREE today in many new computer systems. Home is a text-based system that lets you write your website in plain English and then have converted to HTML for viewing on the web. With a couple of hours of practice you can have your website coded and ready to go.

Step 2: Use a professional web page template.

If you use a pre-designed template that can have a professional looking website within minutes. The templates provide online graphics and overall look and feel of your website. A professional pre-designed templates can be purchased for under $ 40 and can save many hours or even days of design time. If that price is too high there are many professional web design templates available for free, although very basic in style and may not be suitable for your website. Even if you have a small budget, the purchase of a staff of professionals is an effective way to begin.

Step 3: Purchase and register a domain name.

His ideas are smart and have adapted to the professional staff, so now is the time to buy a domain name for your website. Registering a domain name allows surfers to see your site through the introduction (www.yournamehere.com)

You want a catchy domain name that is easy to remember and tells a bit about your business (eg LowCostAutoInsurance.com). Need to choose a name registrar like GoDaddy. com to register your name and if you have trouble finding a name that even have a domain name suggestion tool that will help. You can register your domain name for less than $ 10 a year and once registered, the name is yours for as long as you pay the annual renewal fee.

Step 4. Choose a web host.

Your site is ready, your registered domain name and you're ready to go, what now ...

You need to hire a company to host your website. There are hundreds if not thousands of web hosts available and their job is to sort through them and choose the right company. Since your web host is your connection to the web 24 hours, you must ensure that they are very reliable. If your web hosting provider are having technical difficulties, your site will be invisible to all your customers and you will not succeed. Monthly hosting fees can range from free to hundreds of dollars depending on the services you choose. Most web sites for beginners can be arranged for less than $ 10 a month for a web hosting service quality.

Step 5: Upload your web site.

Now that you have selected a web host you need to transfer your new website from your computer to the computer to your web host to be visible on the internet. While this may seem like a confusing process and technique, it really is quite simple. One of the transfer process is easier to upload your site with "ftp (file transfer protocol). One of the easiest to "FTP" program is CuteFTP, which lets you drag and drop files from your computer and place them in the web directory on your web server. Take a few minutes to familiarize yourself with your "FTP" program because as a webmaster is going to be used quite often.

That's it. Your site is live now and the web. While the process may seem technical and difficult to find that with practice, this will become easy and rewarding experience. Practice with your new webmaster tools and you will become expert in no time.
