After signing a three-year deal with
Almeria of Spain with an option of
another year of extension, Complete
Sports can exclusively report that
Flying Eagles skipper Ramon Azeez’s
work permit is ready.
His agent, Olalekan Adekunle, has
revealed that the player will soon
join his new club in preparation for
next season.
The FIFA-licensed agent was at the
Dobsonville Stadium where the John
Obuh-led side edged out their Malian
counterparts 2-0. He disclosed that
the former U-17 silver ball winner
actually signed his contract papers
in Nigeria after much plea for the
release of his passport from the
NFF.
“Nobody would have known the
club he signed for if not for the
processing of his work permit at the
Federation which also coincided
with the registration for the AYC.
“He signed a three year contract
with Almeria with an option of
another year. He will play regularly
there and he is happy with the deal”,
he revealed
The player however revealed to
Complete Sports in a brief chat after
the post-match conference that the
team will be prepared to face
Cameroun in a re-match after losing
to them in the group stage and of
course in many of the past
encounters.
“We are here to win the cup and by
the grace of God, we will achieve it.
Personally, I’m not scared of leading
the team to face Cameroun in the
final. We have one game left and we
want to finish it on a high by
winning the trophy for Olubayo
Adefemi ”, he said while being
hurled off by the team’s camp
