Despite failing to qualify the
country for the 2012 Africa
Cup of Nations, coach
Samson Siasia could still
survive the general call for his
sack if the advice of a former
coach of the national team,
Paul Hamilton is heeded.
Hamilton has said that
sacking Samson Siasia as
Super Eagles coach was not
the best option.
In a chat with Sports
Vanguard, the former
international said, “it is just a
game of football, football is a
game that cannot be
predicted. It is not Siasia’s
wish not to qualify for the
Nations cup , and we are not
happy that it happened this
way .
“No coach will be happy that
his team loses in any
match .Nobody will be happy
to lose.”
Hamilton asked, “sacking
Siasia to bring who? Who is
the best among others? So it
is not the best option. Nigeria
detest failure but if we did not
make mistake, how do we
learn?
So those who employed him
( NFF)are in the right position
to decide if Samson should
be sacked or
retained .Because he signed
these contract to rebuild
Nigeria football in four years.”
Hamilton, however picked
some holes in Siasia’s human
management ability. Said he,
“Siasia’s bad aspect is that he
claims to be a disciplinarian,
yet it’s hard for him to
forgive. The fact is, he has to
be with these players and
sometimes ought to
accommodate their mess.”
The way forward is that we
shouldn’t stop playing
football because we did not
qualify for the nations cup.
We should look beyond the
failure and forge ahead.
Football unites us (Nigeria)
together.

I agree with the Last Statement, "Football Unite Us" we have to work smart to retain and focus for the future.
