A terrible mistake from a malian
defender almost lets in Kayode, but
the keeper does well to save the
striker's goal-bound effort at the
18th minute.
Nigeria opens scoring at the 21st
minute of the first half as Nwofor
scores a controversial goal for the
flying eagles! Kayode looks to use
his arm at the near post to push the
ball on, and Nwofor was there to
tap home his third goal of the
tournament.
Mali got a corner at the 24th minute
as Toure sees his shot defelected
wide. Poor defending there from the
Nigerian defender who would have
stopped the ball.
Mali hits the post with his shot from
the corner at the 25th minute, he
came close in scoring an equalizer.
Nigeria was awarded a penalty at
the 95th minute for a foul on
Kayode by Ibrahima Diallo.
The second half substitute Stanley
Okoro scores from a spot kick at the
98th minute and seals it for Nigeria.
Nigeria win and advance to the final.
Mali only had one real chance in the
match but hit the post.
