In this article I will be with four little known tips to fix scratched CD or DVD and recover the information, each user has had problems with a scratched CD or DVD. The theory is this - A CD / DVD or player uses a laser to read data on disk. This laser beam crosses the protective plastic layer and reads the recording layer of actual metal. If the protective plastic layer is scratched, the laser can not happen as a result of not reading the disc. In the case of data CDs the CD / DVD drive can not read the CD / DVD properly resulting in reading errors while in the case record audio / video, CD player skips when we play.

If somehow we managed to re-smooth this protective layer then the laser get to the data and read it, now there are many ways to get this item through common household as explained below:

1). Toothpaste - Yups! Toothpaste is our first scratched CD / DVD binder, you can use any toothpaste gel-based not for this, just put a very small amount of it on the scratched area and polish gently with a cotton swab Sometimes the paste may cause new minor scratches but are only superficial. Now just wash the cd with water.

2). If the trick does not work, try some touches of metal like Brasso gently wipe with a soft cotton followed by application of Vaseline.

3). Baking soda - a small amount of baking soda paste and apply with a soft cotton cloth to polish the scratch bad. Clean the baking soda before using the disc.

4). You can also try using some oil as a polishing agent this also works many times.

There are many everyday products that can be used to get the cd working just keep experimenting, please note that you must take special care when using the above tips as
