What do we mean when we say we love Africa

Well going by the word "WE" it isn't surprise but quite refreshing as human being tends to love and protect his/her belonging, that is why you hear a comment like these: I love my mother, I love my State, I love my tribe etc. So it bothers on who is saying it. But in general Africa has many things going for them that is why world crave to relate with it, specially in area of natural resources.

I have to admit, I am a bit confused. Do you consider Africa to be someone's belonging, and whose? I also don't know how a person could protect Africa. I hope you can help me out here.

Africa as a continent belong to the people of Africa.
Is responsibility of Africa's leaders to protect their Territory, this is one of reasons of AU (African union)
