The way people comment about back links these days, I don't thing using of this sofware will be avoided.
But it comes with a lot of challenges, such as sandboxing by google for getting too much back links at a time (Although some argue there is no such), reporting to your hosting provider for spamming, which might lead to closing of one's account among others.
