Job Description

Associate Director for Finance and operations – Abuja
Responsibilities:
§  Oversees the overall accounting, financial analysis and reporting, travel and logistics, and general office management and administration
§  Safeguards the financial and physical assets of MSH against fraud, loss or misuse by ensuring that sound internal controls are implemented and enforced.
§  Oversee preparation or prepare and interpret standard financial reports per MSH requirements; specialized reports for COMU Director, Program Directors and/or Country Director, and any required reports from USAID and other donor agency.
§  Provide an audit interface between MSH Corporate Accounting, Internal Auditors, External Audit firms and donor auditors.
§  Ensure that all local tax laws and regulations are strictly adhered to and taxes are paid to the tax authorities as prescribed by law.
Qualifications
§  Masters level degree in Accounting or Business Management
§  10 or more years experience in finance and business management, wish at least 3 years at a senior management level.
§  Experience in USAID project accounting and operations management
§  Ability to work independently, take initiative and to meet deadlines with attention to detail and quality.
§  Demonstrated knowledge and experience in broad-based office management functions, especially financial clients and consultants, including headquarters staff, upper management and clients.
§  Written and spoken English fluency is mandatory
§  Demonstrated computer skills in word processing, database, presentation, and spreadsheets (Microsoft office preferred.)
§  Demonstrated experience in accounting software.
