It seems that everywhere a person goes there is at least one person in the eye with a cell phone to your ear when on the road, in a tent in a parking lot, walking down the street, etc. Even where Cell phone use is prohibited, such as concert halls or movie theaters is not the occasional offender, or more likely, at least a few people with the text message function on your phone.

Cellular phone use has skyrocketed in the last decade and continues to grow. About two hundred million people in the United States have cell phones and more than one billion users worldwide. That means there is a lot of phones sending their frequencies on the air at any given time.

Concern has arisen over whether or not cell phone use can harm the health of a person. rates of brain cancer in the United States have risen since cell phones were introduced, leading some to wonder whether the use of cell phones is the reason for the increase.

There have been reports of people developing brain tumors in the same place where they held their cell phone. Some studies have expressed concern about the use of cellphones in the long term, believing it can lead a person to develop cancer. That does not mean a person who uses a cell phone is going to have cancer, but some studies suggest that use increases long term risk of a person.

Things can not be all gloom and doom however. A large study in Denmark with almost half a million cell phone users showed no increased cancer cell phone users.

However, other studies have concluded that there is an increased risk of cancer, but only with analog phone users. Some other studies conclude that any type of cell phone use can increase a person's risk of developing cancer. There are a lot of different opinions on the subject. According to the FDA, available data show that there is definitely no health problems associated with the use of mobile phones, but the information goes on to say that there is no proof that wireless phones are absolutely safe either.

What about cell phone use is the cause of the concerns and the numerous studies that do? Cell phones emit radiation when used. The levels are low and are of the same type of radiation emitted by a microwave oven, but in much smaller amounts.

It has been suggested that the use of hands free can alleviate the problem of the head of the radiation exposure. Again opinions vary. Some studies say it does not decrease the amount of radiation exposure at all. Other studies say it reduces significantly the amount of exposure to radiation.

Some people say the biggest danger with cell phones is not the lack of attention to real or perceived potential for developing cancer, but while using a cell phone. How many of us have been somewhat erratic driving down the road and then see when we get close to the vehicle the driver is talking on a cell phone. It's a proven fact that a driver on a cell phone is less attentive and more likely to have an accident. And hands-free kits are not the answer that some people may believe. Yes, both hands free to manage and prevent a person from getting a sore arm, but the mind of the driver is still busy with the conversation and therefore less attentive to what is happening around them on the road.

Even people who are walking and talking on a cell phone at the same time, they can be more dangerous because there are so aware of what is happening around them.

All the conflicting reports make a person wonder what to do. The good news is that more comprehensive studies are being done to see if cell phone use cause cancer or not. At the same time, manufacturers are working on new processes that reduce or possibly eliminate the exposure of a person to radiation. Until definitive answers are given, a person may want to avoid talking on a cell phone for several hours every day, but a person probably does not have to feel that you have to give up your cell phone. It remains a great tool.

Advice on driving and talking on a cell phone is the same as has been however. A person must stop in a safe area before entering traffic on a cell phone conversation.

My lecturer one Prof. ..... Cann't remember had hinted that cell phone is known to cause cancer.
The only preventive measure is to change cell phone often.
